Boogie Wipes Review & Giveaway

I was recently contacted to review Boogie Wipes and graciously accepted. Kaitlynn has a runny nose 10 months out of the year. It’s not uncommon for me to be wiping her nose constantly. Even though we no longer cloth diaper, I’ve always got a stash of cloth wipes in my purse so I can catch a runny nose at any given moment. We were sent a 30 count package of Great Grape Scented wipes along with 3 individual packages in each great scent, Great Grape, Minty Menthol and Fresh Scent.

Boogie Wipes

Anyone who has ever had to wipe a child’s runny nose knows the battle.  There are usually tears involved at my house!  Boogie Wipes is an amazing product that can help you battle! We love Boogie Wipes because they’re moist, and can get any of the crusties left behind by regular tissues.  I’m a picker mom. You know the type. The one that picks their child’s nose until you get every last crust off of their poor little face. Kaitlynn now doesn’t mind getting her nose wiped because she knows that I’m using Boogie Wipes!

What makes Boogie Wipes different? Their website says,

Boogie Wipes are made with natural saline to dissolve boogies (mucus) caused by the common cold, allergies or otherwise booger-filled kid moments.

Extra soft, alcohol, phthalate and paraben free, Boogie Wipes are available in Great Grape, Fresh Scent, Magic Menthol and Simply Unscented. Recommended by pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue.

How do they differ from a baby wipe?

  • Made with natural saline to dissolve mucus
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Alcohol-free
  • Moisturize with vitamin E, aloe and chamomile
  • Fun scents
  • Phthalate & paraben free

My favorite part other than the fact that their moist is that they can handle the job. The wipes are sturdy and do not fall apart at all, and one wipe handles most jobs!  I also love the fact that they come individually wrapped so they’re easy to throw in my purse! Another great thing, they were invented by moms! So not only are you going to love them, you’re going to LOVE them!

Since Kaitlynn is in preschool all day I’m not able to be there with her to constantly get the crusties off her face. She usually comes home with boogers stuck all in her nose, and the battle ensues. The moms behind Boogie Wipes have come up with a great solution to this. The came up with the teacher/daycare provider kit!

The Teacher kit includes : a poster with Save the Sleeve pledge guidelines,
50 Boogie Wipes samples, 50¢ OFF coupons and 2 classroom canisters.

After using these wipes I’ve become a firm believe in them. I’m planning on buying at least one teacher kit for Kaitlynn’s classroom this fall. More than likely I’ll get two!

Review it Thursday - Safety Caps

safetycapslogo

If you have small children at home you've probably child-proofed everything in little hands reach. You more than likely went all out to make sure your newly crawling toddler was safe from everything, including electrical outlets.

I, like you, thought my home was safe for little hands. Until the day that Dahrran came walking up to me holding an outlet cover in his hands. I searched and searched to find where I'd left them laying out, maybe he'd gotten into one of my drawers and pulled one out. Later that evening as I was tucking him into bed I noticed one in his room was missing. It was then that I knew the outlets weren't safe.

cap

Safety Caps are an awesome product that eliminate the need for traditional outlet covers. They're larger than traditional covers making them safe for little hands, shall they make it there. There is always the choking factor when it comes to traditional covers, because they are round small and will fit into the choking tube when tried. Safety Caps will NOT.

Just take a look at the difference! I previously was using the Parents brand and thought they were the best, until I was sent Safety Caps. We've replaced all other covers with Safety Caps, and the kids have yet to get them off!

***WIN***
One lucky reader will win a package of Safety Caps. Go on over, take a look around and then come tell me why you need Safety Caps. That's it! This contest will end April 15th.

Extra entries available: (post a comment for each)

Have you heard about Scentsy? Scentsy is a wickless candle company with over 80 different scents to choose from. Not only do they carry wickless candles they also carry room fragrance sprays, and car candles.
Read the Scentsy Story!
"Scentsy “Makes Perfect Scents”. We are pioneering the move away from the smoky, sooty candles of today to safe, healthy, fun and creative ways to bring the scents that make us happy into our lives. We offer over 80 high quality fragrances delivered in a variety of ways. Our flagship product is the Authentic Scentsy Bar, an impressively fragrant wickless candle bar that is warmed in a warmer rather than burned with a flame."
I came across Scentsy through Andrea at Moody Mama Says (formerly Life's a Hoot) who recently became a consultant. Andrea sent me out the Exotic Vanilla Car Candle to try. I've had it in my car for about two weeks now, and I LOVE IT. Every time I open my doors it's as if I've cleaned out my car. There is a burst of clean fresh scent everytime we go someplace.
Scentsy candles are great for all Mom's. Scentsy warmers use a 35watt light bulb, and there are styles for everyone. They even have nightlight plug ins! With over 80 scents you're bound to find something for your sniffer.

Review It Thursday

This week's review is brought to you courtesy of Z Bear Diapers. I don't know how many of you know this, but I'm a Cloth Diaper Mama. We have been Cloth Diapering (CDing) for about a year now and I love it. I'm not as religious at it as I should be, but I wash at least a load of diapers once a week. Sometimes it's easier to use spoises (as we call disposables in our house), but more often than not its easier to cloth diaper.

I recently came across ZBearDiapers through a friend and have been in love ever since. I love their site and how informative they are with all of their products. Not only are they helpful, but they've got a DIRECT phone line that you can call them with your questions. Not some 800 number where you Press 1 if you love their products, Press 2 if you want to make a payment, or Press 3 if you just don't get it! And if you have a question and decide to call them, PLAN on talking to Stephanie for atleast 15 minutes. She's good, really good. She'll keep you on the phone until all your questions are answered, and if you forget one, you can call her back and she's right there!

So you say "But Amanda, I'm not a Cloth Diaper Mama, what does Z Bear Diapers have for me?" Okay so you're not into the whole Cloth Diaper thing, but are you a nursing mother? Have a little one with Colic? Or even want to take your little one swimming but want something more than a swimmy diaper that you just waste each and everytime you go swimming? Maybe you're pregnant, and you're thinking about cloth diapering.

Z Bear Diapers is a great site, and the best part is you're helping another mom do a job she loves, and that's be home with her kiddos. Anyone who purchases something from Stephanie at Z Bear Diapers, will recieve $5.00 off ANY order through Febuary 28, 2009 when you put 302093245 in the Discount Coupon space! AND if it doesn't get any better, you can also get FREE shipping good on any order through Febuary 28th, 2009 with coupon code : 102091765 .

Go on over check out Z Bear Diapers, come back and let me know what your favorite product is!!!

"Review it Thursdays"

Welcome my first official "Review it Thursday," where I will review all sorts of chidlrens products, and maybe even some parent products as well. You'll get the inside scope on all the BEST things that EVERY parents needs!

My all time favorite of all is
Playtex Sipster® Spill-Proof Cup and Insulator® and Spill-Proof Cup, both 9-oz.
Playtex Sippy
They don't leak near as much as most sippy cups do, and they are super easy to wash, just throw them in the dishwasher. Even better is they have valves that interchange with ALL of their sippy cup sizes. So, no looking for that valve, or this valve, just grab one out of the drawer! Just read what their website says about them!

"These larger cups satisfy your baby’s growing appetite. The Insulator® Spill-Proof Cup
keeps liquids cool twice as long as ordinary cups, and its sweat-proof design protects
furniture from moisture. Look for new 9-oz. Insulator® cups with Disney designs! .
Comes in a variety of colors and designs to help your child identify objects. "
They come in all different colors, and patterns. I am in LOVE with these cups, and have been for years now. Not to mention their durable, some of the cups in my cupboard are 5 years old, and still going strong. I haven't even had to replace valves once.

Coolster Tumbler
And then, there are these cups! Is your child too big for a sippy cup, but too small for a strawed cup out on the go? This is the cup for you. They're easy enough to suck from that even my 18 month old can use them, but cool enough for my almost 6 year old to use. The older kids think they're cool because not only is this a sippy cup, it looks just like Daddy's coffee cup.
What ever age your child Playtex has the products for you! Go check them out today!!!!
