Bale'n Hay

So here are the pictures from Bale'n! I love this time of year, but I HATE this time of year! If we're doing small squares, which Dahrran is pushing over here, I Always. Get. Stuck. Driving. And then when we get them all loaded up, I get stuck unloading them to the ground so they can put them on the conveyor into the Barn. But if we do big rounds, which we ended up doing because the square baler broke down, I don't have to do ANYTHING! Just sit back. Relax. Enjoy. And well of course make supper. That's the one thing I get out of doing when we do small squares!

The sad part about all these pictures, we didn't even finish baling, because the grass hay got too tough, and wouldn't work right in the baler. And then it rained, and then the Round baler broke, and then it's rained some more, and now we're just getting the piece for the baler tomarrow! So Hopefully. Just Hopefully. We'll finished getting the stuff baled by Sunday.

He's HE-MAN, I swear. He can push them over with no problems!!!!

MacKenzie on the other hand would just prefer to check and see if it's ready to bale!

I'm telling ya, she got bored with Walking. So she decided to ride with mommy. "Yeah daddy, we hear you, keep putting them on there."

Then the square baler broke down, and my little sister got squirrly! This is what the heat will do to you!
But I realized that it was a Great place to take a picture, so I did!
And that is One. Tired. Man. He was so tired, and just ready to be done, but what do you do when the hay isn't ready!?

And well I just had to throw this last one in here, because their wern't any of Kaitlynn from Bale'n! She sat in the back of the truck for a while, and then it just got too hot, so she went home with Grandma Kathy!

Have a good weekened everyone!!!!!

First Things First!

Crystal over at Little Bit Funky dared me to post my MESSIEST picture, and well even though I'm not proud of it here it goes!!!! Tackle it Tuesday

Here was my Tackle it Tuesday project!!!!!!
We decided last year to plant a strawberry bed, and BOY did it produce this year. We've had strawberries coming out of our ears!! We ate quite a few of them, but they were getting more than we wanted to eat. So I had strawberries sitting in my fridge just Begging to be made into Jam! so that's what we did!!!!

Mushing up the berries

Yummy Cooking berries!

You know you want some with your toast!

Had to throw this one in for good measure! Tomorrow I'll get the pictures up from Bale'n the hay yesterday! I love the pictures in the fields, and the kids have so much running through the fields pushing bales over! Until tomorrow.........................

These are the days I love!

I love summertime! I love that the kids are able to play outside. I love that my dad lives so close that the kids have the experience of living on a farm, with out us living there (yet). They're so explorative, and imaginative! The bugs, the fish and frogs, birds and baby kittens. It's all amazing to watch.

We helped Grandpa today clean out his tank/pond with fish, water lillys and turtles. The kids had so much fun trying to catch the fish. We got a few pictures, but of course they're on my sister's camera which is the old style film!!!! Dahrran even got to go with Grandpa to let the turtle go in the creek!

On the camera hunt...I found it. So sometime in the next couple days there will be new pictures up here!!! :)

WTF! (excuse the language!)

WTF. That is all I have to say. I don't want to get up on my soap box, but this is craziness!!!!

Being a teen mom, it's nothing to want! These girls don't get what they're getting themselves into. Especially the one who is having a baby with a homeless man! I don't get it. I really don't!

We watched "Meet the Robinson's" yesterday, and I sat here and cried at the end. Not so much because the movie was sad, but just because whenever I see movies that have mom's having a baby boy, and not wanting it or a story of that sort. I cry. Period. It saddens me to know that there are mom's out there that don't get to know the joy of loving their child. I sit here and I thank God, for what I have. I thank him for the home, and for my husband. Who had the chance to say, "it's not mine, I don't want it, I'm gone", but didn't. He chose to be a man, and take action to be there for his child. I'll never forget the night I told him I was pregnant. He sat there, and said well we'll figure this out, and gave me a big hug. NEVER did he say anything along the lines of leaving or not taking responsibility. I love that man, and I love my children.

I'm not saying that I am upset with every girl that ends up pregnant. But there are some girls who really need to take a look at why they're wanting a baby. The ones who say I didn't want a baby but end up pregnant, need to look at how they got themselves there. I know how I got where I did, and it was being naive, thinking I wasn't going to be that girl! But I was that girl, and I'm glad that I was that girl. I love everything in my life and I thank God everyday for the blessings he's given me!

Enough on my soap box, Have a good Afternoon!!!!

It's no longer safe.....

So we figured out how to crawl on Tuesday, and I figured by Wednesday, the house wouldn't be safe. But it was. Then yesterday I figured oh, it's not safe today, and it wasn't! She doesn't want to get to her toys, its into everything of mommy's! Right now she sits at my feet playing with the cords.

On another note, Has anyone seen my camera?!?! I can't find the stinking thing, I've looked everywhere. Or shall I say, Everywhere it should be?!? I want to take pictures of the kids, and here pretty soon, we've got things I'm going to need it for. But for the life of me I can't find it. . . . Then again I have to admit, I haven't really been looking too hard. When I realized it was gone, I looked, and then a little bit the next day. Since that day, a little over a week ago, I have yet to look for it. Maybe I'll add it to my ever growing list of things to do.

Lists, does anyone else make them? I used to do them horribly, for everything! But now I don't so much. I read somewhere that if you make lists it helps with getting stuff done. Well for me some days it does, and there are others that it doesn't. I've got a list of stuff to do hanging on my fridge, but I've only done about two things, and a million other things that NEEDED to be done, that didn't even make my lists!!!!

We're making a BIG Deal of it!

As soon as I posted the last blog, we had an exciting thing happen. Kaitlynn crawled for the first time!!!!!!! I was so excited, I started clapping, and she just sat here grinning from ear to ear, and laughing! What is she after you ask? None other than my lap top!!!! Of course, it's bright, and she knows she's not supposed to have it. So yay, for Kaitlynn!!!!!!!

Long time, No blog

Sorry it's been awhile, since I updated you all on us! Things here have been good, just super busy!

A week ago today Dahrran had his 5 year check up, and Kindergarten Physical. He was 45 1/2 inches tall, and 44 pounds. He did so good, and I can't believe he's growing up so fast! He did need two shots, and fought them tooth and nail. I ended up holing him down as soon as the nurse came in. He cried a little bit, but as soon as he realized that Kaitlynn was getting shots also he was fine with his! Kaitlynn's 9mo appointment went well also. I figured with the price of gas these days, and well living more then 30 miles from our doctors office, it made so much sense to schedule the kids' appointments together! Kaitlynn was 17 pounds 12 ounces, and was 29 inches long. She's doing super!!! Our doc was impressed on how much she was moving around now compared to her 6 mo check up.

We had some friends come over Friday morning, and in the afternoon. First was a gal I went to HS with, and her niece Rieley. R is the same age as MacKenzie so they had a good time. They stayed for lunch, and then Darlyn took the girls to the park. Got MacKenzie off my shoulders for a while. Joyce called and then Ben came over. So Dahrran had someone to play with. Then I had another friend call, she was watching the kids she lives with, and wanted to know if we wanted to go swimming with them in Utica. Well, me not wanting to go anywhere, suggested they come over to our house, because we had a pool! The kids LOVED having other kids to play with all day, and it was nice for me to have some adult conversation.

Friday evening landed me at my 5 year class reunion. It was nice to see a few friends, but at the same time I didn't really care to be there! We stayed for about 10 minutes before I headed out. Joel had to work, and we'd actually gone to eat supper there, because where we planned on going was packed full! I just can't believe it's been 5 years. If any of you are reading this and you do want to catch up, feel free to drop me a note!

Then came the weekend. Not a thing planned, so all would've went smoothly right? WRONG! Dahrran had a sleepover on Sat. night, and so I'd decided that I'd let Joel sleep in on Sunday for father's day! Kaitlynn got up early, and when MacKenzie got up, we decided to make muffins. Joel got up not much later, and decided he should go out and check heifers. We had one heifer that wasn't supposed to be bred, but came up pregnant. When Joel got out to check on them, he saw her laying there and thought they were both dead. Luckily the heifer was okay, but the calf wasn't. It had gotten it's leg bent down, and couldn't come out normally. We didn't catch it in time, and ended up loosing the calf. Joel wasn't too happy, and still is wondering why we were put through this. I don't understand, but I know God has it all in his plan, and we'll either grow stronger, or weaker.

So to end with a BIG. THANK. YOU. to Joel. We love you for everything you do, we love how you work so hard for us. I love how you're an amazing husband who is working two jobs, so I can stay home. I love how when you're tired, you just keep on going, and I've given up! You never give up, and that's what I love about you! Thank you so much for being the greatest Husband I could ask for, and the best father to our children! I love you so much!

(and maybe, just maybe when I find where my camera has decided to hid, I'll post some new pictures of the kids!)

Poopy Puddles

So the other night began my HATE for the Jumperoo. I used to LOVE that thing, seriously. Kaitlynn still loves it, but needless to say I've learned my lesson!!!!!

So I was sitting here checking mail, and blogs, and boards and such, when I could smell Kaitlynn's stinky diaper. I figured I'd give her another 5 minutes before I changed her to make sure she was completly done. Well that was just 5 minutes too late. I get over there, and I see a puddle, under her, of you guessed it....poo. I don't think I've said "OMG" so many times since we found out that our offer had been accepted on the house!!! I was so grossed out, and knew there was nothing other to do than get her bathed!

So does anyone have an suggestions on how to get the poo out of my white carpet?(not my idea was here when we bought the hosue, but it's been in too good of shape to take up,...until now!)

Pictures of the Storms

Hello everyone, here are just a few pictures from our trip to Ulysses. It's normally a 15-20 minute drive, but it took us 45-60 minutes to get there today! Every road into town was blocked with downed power lines, uprooted trees, or flooding. The main road into town was the only clear road, but even getting to that road was a challange!

The picture below is of a power pole that was snaped in half. The rest of the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. Everone please keep us in your prayers again tonight. From the sound of it it's supposed to be even worse tonight. Kendol is here, and it's been pretty good! :)

Counting My Blessings

Can anyone tell me what these cute little children are doing looking so cute? I give you just one guess, and you can't look at our past blogs....cause it gives the answers!!

If you guessed sitting in the basement, waiting out ANOTHER tornado. . . . . . . .You are totally right!!!!

This was the view, before the storms started. Thankgoodness, we had Aunt Lindsey over to help mommy earlier in the day. She stayed with the chillins while DH and I went to the West side of town (see we live on the East side, and you can't see anything!). When we went out before the rain and such came, this was our view. We went out about 10 minutes later, and you could see a vortex of a tornado start on it's way down. That was enough for me, and I told Joel to high tail it home, I wanted to be with the kids! The whole 5 block drive home (our town is about 7 blocks long!) I was praying to God that things would be okay, and that he would keep our family safe.

I'm now counting my blessings because not only are we safe, but that Tornado didn't touch down until it was a few miles outside of town. We were lucky, but from the sounds of it DH's sister, and her family, wern't so lucky. The tornado that tuched down, hit thier town, and there is no power, and such. We will be keeping little Kendol tomarrow, so mommy and daddy can assess the damage. (check back for those pictures later!!! I promise I won't forget my camera this time!) When I talked with Jennifer tonight, she was shaken up, but strong! So tomarrow will be a fun day! Kendol is about 6 weeks younger than Kaitlynn!

This is about all the damage we recieved, was just a ton of water!!! Our local gas station in town had water inside the store. My step sister, Jess, the one that was here for the last storm, works nights at the gas station, and called me to come with some fans. I ended up helping out with the water situation there!

All I know is that I'm counting my blessings, and thanking God for protecting us, and watching over us. He works in wonderful and mysterious ways, sometimes not always wonderful for us, or our families, but everything has a reason. We don't always see the reason to begin with, but in the end we understand all that he has done, to make us stronger, make us understand and grow within ourselves.
